With the recent media coverage, we want to remind our families to reinforce internet safety at home. We encourage you to consistently and routinely monitor where your students go online and what they see.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, up to 40% of food produced in America is wasted, amounting to 31 million tons of food added to landfills each year. In an effort to reduce food waste in schools, the Appleton Area District will begin implementing food sharing tables in all school cafeterias starting on January 22.

This year summer school registration can take place online.

Each fall, the Office of Educational Accountability (OEA) at the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) issues Accountability Report Cards for schools and districts in Wisconsin.

AASD families, starting this year, we’ll be recognizing birthdays and other celebrations during the school day in new, fun, and meaningful ways! A change is that students won’t be bringing in snacks from home to share.
