Admission for the 2017-2018 School Year

1. Complete the 2017-2018 Application. (Follow the link below to complete this online application). Paper and/or translated copies are available in the school office or can be mailed to you. Please contact the school office if you would like one sent to you.

2. Attend a School Visitation Session which includes a tour, classroom observation, and Q & A session with the Principal. These will be held throughout the months of January and February. (Follow the Sign-Up Genius link below for dates to register.)

5. Attend a REQUIRED Parent Orientation Meeting when accepted, dates TBD.



1. Please fill out one application per family (which will include all students applying for admission). Returning students DO NOT need to re-apply; however, if you are an existing family and have a sibling that will be new to APM you DO need to submit an application by the lottery deadline. 

2. LOTTERY DEADLINE: 4:00 pm February 17, 2017. You will be notified of your child's status by mid March by letter. (Applications can still be turned in after this deadline. Your child will be put on the wait list.) 

3. Appleton Resident: If you are a resident of the Appleton Area School District (AASD) and would like to enroll your son or daughter in Appleton Public Montessori you need only to submit an APM Application to the school office by the application deadline. Families will be notified about placement once the lottery is completed. 

4. Nonresident: If you are not an AASD school district resident you will need to complete an Open Enrollment application with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as well as the APM Application. The Open Enrollment application must be submitted during this year’s window from February 6, 2017 to April 28, 2017. (There are exceptions made for various reasons- such as recently moving to the area, if you are accepted to APM after the window closes.) This does not need to be done prior to submitting the APM Application, however if selected your child’s acceptance will be contingent upon acceptance to the district through Open Enrollment. Even if a child within your family presently attends an AASD school, any new sibling to the district will need to have both an Open Enrollment form completed as well as the APM application.
