At APM we use the Virtue’s Project in helping our students realize that their daily actions and interactions with others can be positive or negative.
Teaching children the fifty-two virtues that create a person of character is no different than teaching math or reading. Children need guidance in helping them to reflect on actions that may have impacted others in a negative way and explore ways to make amends and restore relationships.
Through our Restorative Justice model, we help children to learn from their mistakes in a positive manner that respects their dignity and is not simply the giving of a punishment that has no meaning or relevance.
